IN JUNE 2019, Local Food Hub underwent an exciting restructuring. 4P Foods, a like-minded a direct-to-consumer food hub, acquired our distribution operations. We married Local Food Hub’s strengths in farmer relationships and product knowledge with 4P Foods’ strength in logistics, market development, and sales, to create an even better system for getting food from small family farms to more members of our community.
Local Food Hub continues to exist as a nonprofit organization to provide the same great community services and programming it always has, including helping farmers with training and certifications, working with schools, and expanding its Fresh Farmacy and other food access programs.
Local Food Hub’s partner farms continue their same relationship, now with 4P Foods, including one-on-one production planning with 4P Foods staff, purchasing agreements, and fair and on time payment, all supported by Local Food Hub’s Grower Services program. Get to know our partner farms below.
