Ben Stowe and Heather Coiner produce ecological vegetables and artisanal wood-fired sourdoughs and pastries on five beautiful acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. Rolling hills surround their Nelson County farm which they purchased in 2015 after a few years of growing on the leased land. They nurture 1.5 acres of diverse vegetables and greenhouses, as well as the bakery that produces the delicious wood fired breads and pastries that compliment their veggies so well. Ben and Heather take caring for the earth seriously, from supporting local grain farmers to carefully managing the pests on their crops. Their ecological growing practices strive to nurture the soil and its complex ecosystem, and they are passionate about their human communities as well! They have been a steady presence at Central Virginia farmers markets for years, including the LFH drive through markets. While growing their farm and feeding the community, they have also added to their family, and have 2 helpers in training.
