Schofield Farm is a gourmet mushroom provider located in Ford, Virginia. The farm is run by husband and wife team, Paul and Katie Schofield. Paul is a VCU graduate with a degree in Biology. Paul used his studies to perfect the methods they use to produce the highest quality of oyster mushrooms. Katie is a music teacher and is transiting to full time farming as the duo look to expand their production. Although they have yet to receive organic certification, the farm only uses organic materials and uses no chemical additives or sprays on their products. Local Food Hub will be assisting Schofield’s move towards getting their USDA Harmonized GAP certification.
