Chief Sustainability and Diversity Officer, Sustainable Forestry Initiative

Bettina Ring currently serves as the Sustainable Forestry Initiative’s Chief Sustainability and Diversity Officer. From 2018 to 2022, she served as Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry for the Commonwealth of Virginia and previously was the State Forester of the Virginia Department of Forestry; Ring was the first woman appointed to both positions. Along with her wealth of knowledge in agriculture, forestry, and conservation, Bettina brings considerable experience in diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.
